These pictures were taken on a small stretch of beach during one afternoon.

In the tradition of street photography, I used a 35mm range-finder camera for this project. I fixed the focus and exposure settings and walked up and down the beach, taking candid photos.

Photography is by its very nature a selective process, and much published street photography is the extreme distillation of a great many images to the few that are chosen. In this project I limited the number of frames shot to a bare minimum.
